Head of Jo finally finished
The patinating to a dark bronze effect has finally been finished.
I think it it really improves the look of the sculpture although it it does seem to make it look slightly smaller than the earthenware version. It is interesting to compare the photos below with those in my previous ‘Work in Progress News’ item on the ‘Head Of Jo…..’
The patination method is one of my very own invention but seems to face the test of time extraordinarily well. I have used it on other pieces over the last 5 years with no apparent degradation.
